Student Forums
We have a variety of forums that have been active in response to student demand. These forums give students the opportunity to explore certain issues, as well as be active in educating others, and taking the lead on fundraising events.
In the summer term 2021 we ran a successful forum on the tensions in Palestine and Israel. We worked with the organisation Solutions Not Sides to educate all students about the tensions. The student forum asked to raise money for Medical Aid Palestine and we ran a successful non-uniform day on the 12th July . In addition some students from the forum put up an informative display in one of the geography classrooms.
We currently have a BAME forum running and the students take the lead in educating others in school and have lead an assembly this year.
The LGBTQ+ forum runs every week where students can explore various issues in relation to this agenda. This group recently learnt about the History of laws in relation to LGBTQ+ and the journey towards equality.
