As students of Psychology we work hard

We are inquisitive and passionate about using psychological research and ideas to expand our knowledge and understanding of the science of human behaviour and experience. We are courageous and determined to communicate with fluency and confidence about psychological knowledge, theories, research studies and methods whilst growing our resilience to setbacks through evaluating and sharing ideas. Every concept, theory and treatment we learn and apply to differing scenarios and hypotheses, is a stepping stone on our journey to success.

As teachers of Psychology we work hard

We cultivate safe learning environments where we fuel students’ curiosity about the best of what has been said, written and done within the academic study and application of psychology. We scaffold learning in ways that help students to develop their skills of analysing, interpreting and evaluating psychological concepts, theories, research studies and research methods. We then support them to enhance and improve their psychological interpretation and challenge them to never give up. We help our students to recognise that confidence and competence in understanding human behaviour, through the study of psychology, is key to appreciating the diversity and complexity of human behaviour.

As students of Psychology we are kind

We are growing up together. We research together, discuss psychological theories and ideas together, and value each other’s interpretations. We are empathetic and respectful young people who appreciate the diversity in psychological approaches presented in a range of cultures

As teachers of Psychology we are kind

We are role models for our students by sharing our passion for psychology. We enjoy the privilege of sharing their journey into the discovery of a new subject through cultivating their critical thinking and independent learning skills. We help them to develop and strengthen their love of psychology and to be able to share that in their own lives.
