As another way of helping to develop reading at Nottingham Free School, we have issued every student with a reading journal. In it, they must record the book they are currently reading and what page they are on. Staff are checking these during DEAR. Some students may also wish to write reviews of books or give them a star rating. The students will have these journals on them at all times and they will be going home with them so if parents would like to keep up to date with their child's reading they can have a look at them too.
