London!
Forty year 9, 10 and 11 GCSE Art pupils went to London last week for a trip filled with gallery visits, culture and art! We started our visit with the fantastic National Portrait Gallery, then the Tate Modern and a bit of sight seeing on the way to some free time in Covent Garden watching all the brilliant street performers. On the second day pupils visited the Royal Academy of Arts with some amazing exhibits and also the Photographer's Gallery where pupils had a go at making their own camera obscuras. We ended our trip with a visit to the Wonderlab in the Science Museum and then had one final visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum before getting the coach back up to Nottingham. The art was amazing and certainly inspired the pupils...where will we go next?
