Expectations

Kit Expectations:

All pupils are expected to bring NFS PE kit to all PE lessons. They should pay careful attention to which activities they will be participating in.

Pupils are made aware of the department’s expectations on kit at the start of each term/unit.

  • All pupils will also need a carrying bag for their PE kit and a plastic bag is recommended for carrying dirty boots / wet clothing
  • Except in the case of serious injury, all pupils are expected to come to PE lessons prepared to take part in some physical activity. If pupils have minor ailments they should bring a note from home explaining this and still bring their kit to take part appropriately. Being on your period is also not a reason to be excused from PE.
  • Pupils who fail to bring appropriate PE kit for their lesson will be provided with clean garments to ensure full participation in the lesson.
  • No piercings are permitted in PE, regardless of their age. All students will be asked to remove all piercings for PE and will not be permitted to just cover them up. Failure to do this will result in the student spending PE in ICE and sitting an R20.
  • Pupils are aware that a missing kit mark will result in an R20 detention. If students continually forget to bring in their PE kit their teacher will ask to arrange a meeting with a parent/carer to help support the student to ensure they become more organised in PE. Each time kit is forgotten the student will receive an R20 detention. Students will be given a kit mark for any incomplete kit or if they are missing their whole PE kit.
